Welcome, Amber Kennedy
Please join us in welcoming Amber Kennedy to the Healthy Acadia team!
Amber joins us as Activities Coordinator of our INSPIRE Recovery Center in Ellsworth. Amber is currently enrolled in college studies at both Eastern Maine Community College and University of Maine Machias, majoring in Business Management, with a double minor in Finances and Human Resource Management.
Amber, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?
I'm passionate about helping people in need, and finding them opportunities to exceed.
What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work?
This is an incredibly fulfilling role and one that can offer a vast number of benefits to those who participate. The role goes beyond simply arranging activities, it is one that can provide people with social interaction, engagement and a sense of inclusion.
What most inspires you on a personal level?
I think my biggest source of inspiration is the people around me. I've always loved socializing as it lets me exchange ideas and better understand how the world works.
What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?
My favorite place to be in Maine, is Frazer Point in Winter Harbor. I enjoy the beautiful scenery that it offers me, and the memories I have gained there.
Amber was a semi-finalist on Green Light Maine's College Edition, (Season 8 for 2023) where she pitched her dream business, 'Amber's Angels'. Amber currently resides in Hancock.
