Caitlyn, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?

I am a person in recovery and when I was first new and trying to find recovery I wish I had someone who was there to help support me and help guide me. I want to make a difference in other people's lives and I truly believe joining this team is my first step.

What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work?

I think helping a person accomplish the goals that they want to work towards, watching my recoverees grow from the very beginning, and celebrating the wins with them but also being that supportive person when times are tough. I truly appreciate the strong work within the team and how supportive and patient everyone is with each other.

What most inspires you on a personal level?

I want to be a light for someone when they are in a time of need. we all needed that one person who helped guide us through our struggles and hard times, so to be that person for someone really inspires me.

What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?

I love to be by the ocean! I spend most of my free time doing photography or spending time with my almost 3-year-old nephew.

Caitlyn resides in Bangor and is working toward I a degree in Child development/ family relations with a minor in Mental Health Rehabilitation; she will graduate in May.
